In 1917, state legislation creating the Florida State Museum was signed into law. In the past century, the Museum has flourished, both as an educational resource to curious minds, and as a research center for local ecology and global biodiversity. We’ve been known as the Florida Museum of Natural History since 1988. As we turn our focus to the next century of science and exploration, come celebrate the Museum’s achievements over the past 100 years!

The Florida Museum of Natural History’s 100th Anniversary Gala Celebration will be a black-tie evening that immerses guests in an artistic interpretation of nature’s varied landscapes. Combining the beauty of natural elements with clean and modern sculptural work, guests will take on a new perspective of the beauty that surrounds us. From live entertainment, cocktails and upscale food, to a setting that comes alive with sights, sounds and colors, everyone is sure to leave inspired with a vision of the possibilities nature holds.
All proceeds from ticket sales and gala sponsorships will be contributed to the Museum’s special 100th anniversary endowment, which will support engaging exhibitions and inspiring, innovative educational public programs.
