The Seminole killifish is a member of the topminnow family. It has a copper-colored to green body, with interrupted rows of small black spots on the side of the body and clear to dusky orange fins. The body is also slender, and features a flattened head and upturned mouth. Seminole killifish can be found in lakes and quiet pools of streams. Small individuals are most often found near vegetation, and adults are more often found in open water.
