The white bass is a member of the temperate bass family. There are between four and seven dark gray brown stripes on the side of the body, which is deep and strongly arched body between the head and first dorsal fin. The fins are clear to dark gray. White bass can be found in lakes, impoundments and ponds, and in pools of small to large rivers.
