Background:

This is a classroom activity to assist students in identifying anatomical features of sharks.

Materials:

• Shark anatomy activity sheet
• Teacher’s activity guide
• Answer key

Classroom Activity:

Use an overhead projector or chalkboard drawing to illustrate the body of a typical shark.

Pass out the shark anatomy sheets to students. Have the students fill out their activity sheets.

Quiz the class and have a student come to the board to label the shark fins correctly.
