By equipping teachers with the tools they need to engage students with Earth systems science content, TESI’s Scientist in Every Florida School program is working to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards.
Over the next few months, we will host four paid professional development programs for K-12 teachers that span all grade levels and focus on topics ranging from plant pathology to artificial intelligence to managing museum collections. These programs are supported by funds from TESI and the National Science Foundation.
During the workshops, teachers work alongside scientists to co-develop standards-aligned lesson plans. After the workshops conclude, the learning continues throughout the school year as teachers invite scientists to their classrooms. Learn more below!
