Description

AquiferWatch is a non-profit dedicated to expanding groundwater science and stewardship. They provide free well tests, educate the public, and encourage sound management of Florida’s water.

This internship is 1 day/week, with a stipend of $600. This internship may qualify for academic credit. As an AquiferWatch Intern, you will…

  • Learn where your water comes from and how to monitor its quality
  • Learn how to sample wells and waterbodies
  • Learn about the aquifer, springs, and water quality in North Florida from our expert team of hydrogeologists
  • Communicate water quality issues in your community
  • Learn valuable skills such as water sampling, data management, fieldwork, communication, and nonprofit management
  • Get help with resumes and professional development

Qualifications:

Applicants must have access to a computer and be willing to commit to learning about their water and educating others in their community. This will involve in-person and digital outreach.
