black in natural history museums logoScience is all around you! Meet the creators behind the Black in Natural History Museums organization in this special preview of the 2023 Black in Natural History Museums Week.

Learn about the history of the organization and take part in a scavenger hunt as part of a new gallery exhibit highlighting Black scientists through history. The participating tablers are:

  • Adania Flemming, Black in Natural History Museums President and a Doctoral Candidate in the University of Florida’s Department of Biology.
  • Alnycea Blackwell, Black in Natural History Museums Vice-President of Graphics and Design and Project Assistant at iDigBio
  • Nicole Fuller, Black in Natural History Museums Co-Treasurer and collections manager of the Florida Museum’s Environmental Archaeology Program

While the event activities are FREE, there is an admission charge for the Butterfly Rainforest and Antarctic Dinosaurs exhibits.
