Internships are to be focused on gaining experience in collections work, laboratory analysis, and/or fieldwork.
November 16: Why We Love Where We Live: Climate Change & Sense of Place
Students will learn more about the sense of place theory with examples from individuals who are working to reimagine how Floridians can come to terms with the constantly changing futures of the places they love.
November 4: Wildfires and Your Health
We’ll cover how climate and weather affect wildfires and air pollution, how that affects human health and what people might do to stay safe when smoke is in the air.
November 10: Are Honey Bees Really Dying?
Students will learn about the reality of honey bee colony losses, what is killing bees, and what it means for us.
November 4-18, 2022: 2nd Annual Campus Climate Corps Conference
A team of Florida university students will report on the two-week event in Egypt, sharing interviews and presentations and answering questions from university students.
March 6-9: Future Leaders Climate Summit 2023
Future Leaders will have the opportunity to network, convene, and co-collaborate with some of the biggest voices in climate and have access to spaces that have historically excluded the voices of young people.
November 17: Preparing to Compete – Funding Opportunities for UF Students
Students will learn more about funding opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students at UF, including international students.
November 13: Native American Heritage Month: Indigenous Florida
Students will learn more about the lives of the Potano, Timucua language family, and Alachua Seminole and the impact of their interactions with the variety of non-indigenous moving into this area.
