GROW HUB is a 501c3 not-for-profit plant nursery supporting the lives of adults living with disabilities. The campus provides a little something for everyone, including retail sales, nursery stock management, gardening, landscape maintenance, equipment repairs, seed saving, plant sales, art classes, and yoga workshops.

Archaeology and Ethnography Lab Volunteer

Students will learn how to generate and analyze environmental archaeology data that is used to understand sustainability practices and past lifeways. While these projects are situated in southern Florida, they have implications for global tropical and subtropical environments, especially those within wetland ecosystems.

Data and Field Assistant — Avian Research and Conservation Institute

Rewarding opportunity to help a small conservation organization studying rare southeastern birds. Develop field skills in trap making, capture and handling birds with one-on-one instruction. Learn the ins and outs of an NGO. Flexible hours where some work can be done remotely. Potential to turn into paid opportunity.

Help run Cinema Verde’s social media accounts (Instagram, Tiktok, Twitter, Facebook) Some tasks will include assisting with the design and execution of social media campaigns, eveloping new strategies for increasing engagement, and writing social media captions that speak to the company.
