Description

Joanne Kamens, Scientist and DEI Consultant, presents “Communicating Your Science to 1 or 100”.

Whether talking to one person about a potential collaboration or giving a talk in front of 500 people, communicating your science effectively is a key part of any science career. Like graphing data, choosing controls, or mixing clear solutions, speaking and 1:1 networking are both skills that any scientist can learn. Any time you give a science talk, you are also giving a job talk. Even if not being interviewed, there could always be a future boss in the room. Join us to hone your communication skills. Even a few tips can make a difference.
