Position description

  • Acts as SWES receptionist, answers all incoming calls, transferring and taking messages as needed.
  • Handles incoming and outgoing mail and package deliveries. Manages department mailboxes.
  • Makes copies, scans, and sends faxes, and digitizes documents as needed.
  • Maintains reservation calendars for two (2) departmental conference rooms.
  • Issuing parking permits, tracking usage, and returns.
  • Straightens and maintains front office and common areas throughout the day. Monitors department office supplies.
  • Provides general information and guidance to students, faculty, staff, guests, and visitors.
  • Helps create promotional materials.
  • Assists with other front office/clerical duties as assigned by Office Manager and Administrative Support Assistant.

Requirements

  • Must receive or be eligible to receive Federal Work Study.
  • Must be in good academic and conduct standing with the University of Florida.
  • Willingness to make a minimum commitment of 10 hours a week for at least 2 consecutive semesters.
