Position description

Funded by the National Park Service and administered by Environment for the Americas, Fish & Feathers is a 12-week summer internship program that provides EFTA’s national park partners with talented, diverse interns ready to engage with local communities through fishing, birding, and other outdoor recreational activities.

Selected interns focus on supporting, implementing, and leading community outreach projects while incorporating fishing and birding activities. Fish & Feathers host sites include a wide range of excellent fishing and birding spots, such as Everglades National Park, Redwoods National Park, Great Smoky Mountains, and more.

Eligibility

  • Under Direct Hire Authority and Public Land Corps requirements, as provided by the Office of Personnel Management, you MUST be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. legal resident to be eligible for any position.
  • Must be between 18 and 30 years of age.
  • If you are a veteran, you may apply up to age 35.
  • Related educational background and interests preferred.
