Host Organization

McCarty Woods Restoration Team

Description

It is free t-shirt day – first 100 get a McCarty Woods t-shirt!

Join the McCarty Woods team to maintain the McCarty Woods area, a 2.9-acre expanse of hardwood forest, home to numerous plant and animal species on the UF Campus.

We will improve the trail along the north edge of the woods; there are more things to plant and we will try to improve the area around the picnic table area across from Dickinson Hall …plus more pinestraw to put down.

Please dress appropriately and bring water and gloves if you have them. We will again bring water, gloves, garbage bags, loppers, small hand saws, doughnuts!

Fun will be had by all. All ages and skills levels welcome. Come for whatever time you can

Date and Time

Sunday, November 17 from 9 AM – 10:30 AM

Location

McCarty Woods, UF Campus

Meet at the picnic tables by Garage IV (on the northeast corner of the Newell Drive/Museum Road intersection).
