The University of Florida Thompson Earth Systems Institute is excited to announce the UF undergraduate students participating in its 2024 UF TESI Scientist in Every Florida School Environmental Leaders Fellowship. Funded by a grant from the Smallwood Foundation, the Fellowship brings together students from diverse majors and backgrounds and gives them an opportunity to gain experience in environmental research, education, outreach, and civic engagement.
Our cohort of four Fellows will attend seminars featuring environmental experts, receive mentoring from professionals in environmental fields, assist with K-12 science programming through our Scientist in Every Florida School program, network with peers, and take part in a multi-day field experience focused on environmental challenges across Florida.
