Position description

  • Responsibilities will include performing nucleic acid purification and PCR, preparing buffers and solutions, assisting in fish experimental setups and data collection, conducting routine laboratory maintenance and organization, and assisting with general lab tasks, such as ordering supplies and restocking inventory.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in fish husbandry, knowledge of molecular biology techniques, laboratory safety, and aseptic techniques, and an interest in aquatic animal disease research.

Schedule

  • Part-time, 20hrs/week
  • The work schedule is flexible and will be determined based on the research and animal husbandry needs.

Expected salary

$16.00 – $18.00 / hourly

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18
  • High school diploma or equivalent
