Position description

The Living Shorelines for Marine Contractors Training is a standard curriculum developed with the goal of increasing capacity and expertise for living shorelines installation in Florida. This position will be expected to use their expertise to contribute to 1) the organization and delivery of the marine contractor living shoreline courses, 2) the development of promotional and educational materials, and 3) evaluation and reporting of the program.

Specifically, this position will be expected to work with a team of Florida Sea Grant Extension Agents to:

  • Plan, advertise, promote, recruit participants for, coordinate, and assist teaching at least 12 Living Shorelines for Marine Contractor Courses.
  • Coordinate guest instructors and work with local contacts to identify field trips for the 12 courses.
  • Evaluate course outcomes using standard evaluation instruments.
  • Provide quarterly reports of progress to supervisor.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of relevant experience. A state of Florida Driver’s license is required.
