Description

The Center for Biological Diversity seeks a part-time (29 hours or less), yearlong fellow to address the impacts on wildlife and the environment that are caused by our current economic model. The Center for Biological Diversity fights for solutions that advance justice, equity, health, and a compassionate world where both people and wildlife can thrive.

Main duties:

Participate in a Library of Things fellowship organized by our partner, Shareable. You will work on this project at least 4 hours a week. Fellows are expected to attend virtual monthly office hours and workshops. In the remaining time, fellows will host team meetings, launch fundraisers and conceptualize their project with the support of local organizations.

Other alternative economy projects, outside of the Library of Things fellowship, include:

1. Helping to build a solidarity economy training specific to an environmental audience.

2. Working with our GIS department to create a national map that shows various alternative economy assets such as co-ops, land trusts, mutual aid, etc.

3. Researching policy options related to alternative economies.
