What
Florida may not be world-renowned for its caves and cavities, but the solid earth beneath your feet rests solely on a limestone foundation, perforated and fissured like a delicious Swiss cheese. While these cavernous portals sometimes have water pulsing through their walls, others are dry and humid. The sunlight may be obscured from penetrating their depths, but the mystique and discovery remain. Join us for a talk with Senior Ecologist Brian Lane as he safely leads us through the limestone maze and shines a light on some of the Florida natives and microhabitats that call this cavernous world home.
