TESI Reporting and Communications Intern, Spring 2020- Summer 2021
During the time of her internship, Brittney Miller was an undergraduate student at the University of Florida pursuing a dual-degree in biology and journalism. She worked in both research labs and newsrooms throughout her collegiate journey – a background that cultivated her rich passion for communicating science. Her environmental clips were published in more than 65 publications nationwide, including the Associated Press, the San Francisco Chronicle, U.S. News & World Report and the Houston Chronicle. After graduating from the University of Florida in May 2021, she continued her path as a science writer and communicator in UC Santa Cruz’s Science Communication Graduate Program.
