July 20-28 is National Moth Week. Join a County biologist for a mothing night at Jupiter Ridge Natural Area. Meet in the parking lot at 7:30 PM for a brief orientation after which we will head to the moth (and other night-flying insects) attracting area. Magnifying boxes for observing the insects coming to the arena will be provided. The moth arena is roughly ¼ mile from the parking lot in an opening in the sand pine scrub; half of the route to the arena is on a hard surface, the remainder is on sugar sand. Long pants, comfortable walking shoes and bug repellent are encouraged. Water for refilling your container will be provided.
There are no restroom facilities at this natural area.
