DESCRIPTION:Celebrate spiders! Our seventh annual run is the Ta-RUN-tula 5K to get all of your legs moving and invite you in to our new special exhibit\, Spiders Alive! The race will be a combination of nature trails and quiet roads here on the UF campus. \nThis is a fun run\, so go at your own pace. We won’t be recording times or giving placement prizes. \nNot in Gainesville? We have a virtual option for people who want to take part remotely! Everyone who participates\, in-person or virtually\, will receive a shirt and medal. In-person runners can also use their medals to receive free entry to Spiders Alive! on race day. \nTickets\nRegistrations are FULL for this event.\n \n\n	\n\n	\n	\n		\n			\n			How to participate virtually		\n	 \n	\n	\n		 \nRegister\, then run your 5K anytime from anywhere\, submit your proof of race and get a medal and t-shirt! \nAfter signing up\n\nSend the race coordinator a link/screen shot of your GPS watch\, strava or any distance tracking app that shows you have completed your 5K.\nSend the race coordinator a selfie of you completing your 5K. We would love to get tons of pictures of happy athletes that we can share showing how social media can lessen our social distancing.\nNot into technology? Email the race coordinator a virtual pinky promise that you’ve completed your 5K!\nSubmissions are due: Sunday\, March 5\n\n\n	\n\n\nImportant dates\n\nShirt sizes are only guaranteed for registrations submitted by February 3.\nEarly Bird registration ends February 3.\nRace packet pick up for in-person racers will be on Friday\, March 3\, and Saturday\, March 4.\nRace packets for all virtual participants will be mailed out the week of March 6.\n\n\nRace day assistance provided by Orange Theory Fitness
