DESCRIPTION:Calling all artists and designers! Visit the Florida Museum for after-hours SciArt Meetups and create art inspired by Florida nature and culture! \nMeetup Topic\nLeonardo Da Vinci’s 500th anniversary year \nPresentations\nWe are celebrating Da Vinci by looking at his flying machines\, the airscrew and ornithopter with virtual reality. Guest speaker Ernie Williams will present his VR project “Second World of Nature\,” developed at the University of Florida Marston Science Library. Try the VR experience and ask questions\, or just enjoy the presentation on the projection screen. \nArt educators from Wayfaring Painter will lead a demonstration of gridding techniques for rendering 3D objects to refresh and refine point-of-view and perfecting perspective drawing–much like the techniques of Da Vinci himself. \nArt time\nFollowing the presentations\, artists will have free time to: \n\nRoam exhibits & sketch\nUse the classrooms as studio space\nContinue conversations with speakers/educators\nGet inspired!\n\nPrice\n\n$7 per person\n\n\n	Register Online	\n \n	Save the date on Facebook	\n \nArtists must bring their own supplies.
