Art and science collide in this FREE celebration of the diversity of life on Earth. Join us and the Digital Worlds Institute at First Magnitude Brewing Co. for screenings of the short film TreeTender and its sequel, TreeTender 2.
TreeTender follows a young woman, Gaia, becoming the newest TreeTender with the task of taking care of the biodiversity on our planet. We see her learning about the Tree of Life, the connections between all organisms on Earth, the importance of understanding these connections, and the human connections to all life. TreeTender 2 picks up the story and explores how our understanding of the connections among species can help save biodiversity.
There will be screenings of both TreeTender and TreeTender 2 followed by Q&A with the films’ creators at 6 and 7:30 p.m.
