Test your knowledge of Florida’s water resources and explore the Museum after hours! Join us for a fun, educational and FREE trivia night at the Florida Museum of Natural History as we celebrate the opening of Water Shapes Florida.

Come learn more about water and how this vital resource has shaped the state’s history, culture and environment. Compete as individuals or teams in free 20-question trivia games taking place at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m., each with a different water-related theme.

The first-place winners of each game will receive prizes! There are no penalties for wrong answers so feel free to guess.

The Museum will be open extended hours for this FREE event so guests can enjoy most of our permanent exhibits until 9 p.m., but the Discovery Zone, Antarctic Dinosaurs and the Butterfly Rainforest exhibits will close at 5 p.m. with last entry at 4:30 p.m. The Museum’s Collectors Shop will be open until 8:30 p.m.

Take a ride on a glass-bottom boat, walk through a hammock forest, explore the aquifer and more as you learn about our state’s most important natural resource in this interactive experience.

The Recharge Lounge connects visitors to current water issues using a mix of multimedia experiences, interpretive graphics and hands-on displays.

Visitors will join Captain Bill on a simulated ride in a glass-bottom-boat theater to visit local springs and learn more about these unique environments.

A new log cabin display will welcome visitors to the classic cave and hammock area. The museum’s iconic cave remains as part of the exhibit and will be refreshed with new technology, graphics and content.

The Water Lab features real objects and specimens to give visitors a deeper look into Florida’s water and the aquifer below.
