Our 12th annual Can you Dig It? here at the museum was quite the rocking event! March 17 wasn’t just St. Paddy’s day. We opened our doors Saturday to over 1,800 fans of all things geological. From digging for fossils, to examining sand under a microscope, to making earth quakes and volcanoes–we did it all!

This popular event is presented by the University of Florida Department of Geological Sciences and the Florida Museum in collaboration with the Gainesville Gem and Mineral Society every year.
