The Museum will be closed Christmas Eve & Christmas Day and reopen at 10 a.m. on Dec. 26.

One of our most popular annual events is Starry Night! From telescopes on our lawn to an indoor planetarium, and tons of activities to explore in between, we often have hundreds of astronomy enthusiasts gathering here at the Museum.

It takes a lot of people to host this galaxy-sized event so we partner with the UF Department of AstronomyAlachua Astronomy Club, Santa Fe College Astronomy Program, WUFT and Kika Silva Pla Planetarium.

Every year we are proud to host fantastic speakers. In 2018, PBS “Star Gazers” host James Albury gave a wonderful presentation:
