Discovery Zone, Passion Flower Petals

Update from our fabrication team on the progress on the lovely passion flower vine they’re building for the center of the Discovery Zone!

These last few days have been all about flower petals. As you can see on our live flower model, the passion flower petals are incredibly delicate looking and vibrantly colored. So the challenge is to create something that looks delicate but will last for years and be practical to clean and maintain. The first few petals have been tested and placed for size, color, and durability.

Since this is going to be a whole passion flower vine, we’re also working on more of the body and leaves, and these adorable passion buds that still look like enormous cocoons. Can’t wait to see what they’re doing next week!
