It’s been gorgeous in our Butterfly Rainforest! This summer we saw tropical blue wave butterflies, fringed hibiscus flowers, quail, and turtles here in the exhibit. Summers get pretty active around here but we hope you had a chance to take a look!
As you stroll through the lush exhibit, see how many species you can find fluttering around you and resting on flowers, rocks and under leaves. And while we talk about the butterflies in the exhibit a lot, visitors are often delighted by the variety of plants and flowers they encounter as they enjoy the lush jungle.
Our exhibit keepers work hard to maintain a wide variety of plants for the exhibit residents and our visitors to enjoy. You never know what you’ll discover! Many thanks to Ingrith for sharing her daily photos with us.
