The establishment and initial development of the GRR was funded by a grant from the Biological Research Collections program of the National Science Foundation.
The work supported by these funds was supervised and performed by three principal investigators and two curatorial assistants.
Principal investigators:
- David Reed
Associate Curator, Mammalogy - Pamela S. Soltis
Curator, Genetic Resources Repository
Curator, Molecular Biology Laboratory - Norris Williams
Curator and Keeper, Herbarium (Retired)
Current GRR Staff:
- Pamela S. Soltis, Curator
- Terry Lott, Collection Manager
In addition to the personnel directly involved in the project, the success of the GRR collection is the product of the collaboration of a large number of Florida Museum staff. This group includes: curators, collection managers, lab managers, lab assistants, graduate students, programmers and members of the Office of Museum Technology.
