We have a field report from Stephanie Wheeler, who is studying the altitudinal migration of sunbirds in the Usambara Mountains of Tanzania. She has captured and marked over 800 birds, a quarter of which are sunbirds! The Usambara Double-collard Sunbird has begun singing as it enters its breeding season, and Stephanie expects to observe nest building shortly. Below are some photos from her fieldwork.
