Shell is stocky, with rounded whorls (sometimes angular at their shoulder), and a round to ovate aperture. Sculpture is cancellate, with strong folds on the columella.
Size: 25-35 mm.
Ecology: inhabits offshore marine (15-100 m) waters, crawling on sediment surface; scavenging carnivore.
Geological range: Middle Miocene-Early Pliocene (12-8 million years ago).
Geographic distribution: Caribbean – Panama, Colombia, and Venezuela; Pacific – Panama, Colombia, and Ecuador.
