Shells are rounded-trigonal in shape, with one end pointed. Sculpture consists of coarse, thick, concentric ribs, and faint radial streaks.
Size: 30-45 mm.
Ecology: inhabits offshore marine (15-100 m) waters, burrowing in silt near sediment surface.
Geological range: Late Miocene (11-7 million years ago).
Geographic distribution: Caribbean – Panama, Colombia, and Venezuela; Pacific – Panama and Ecuador.
