Welcome to the Florida Museum!
While you explore, please follow these basic guidelines to ensure a safe visit for you, your fellow visitors and our collections.
Respect our collections
Our exhibits and specimens are important to science, the public and future generations. Damaging, climbing on, removing or endangering Museum objects and displays is prohibited.
Respect fellow visitors
The Museum is a place for our community to share. Disorderly conduct and aggressive, abusive or obscene language are not permitted.
Walk and use inside voices
Running and horseplay can injure other visitors and exhibits.
Enjoy food and drinks outside the Museum
Our collections are extremely sensitive to pests.
Look before you touch
Touching certain items can harm them. Look for signs indicating which items may be touched.
Stay with children during your visit
Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Listen to Museum staff and announcements
For your safety, follow staff instructions. Assist those in your group unable to understand instructions.
Capture your visit
Photography for personal, noncommercial use is allowed unless otherwise noted. Tripods, monopods and selfie sticks are prohibited.
